Future Imperative

What if technology were being developed that could enhance your mind or body to extraordinary or even superhuman levels -- and some of these tools were already here? Wouldn't you be curious?

Name:

The future is coming fast, and it's no longer possible to ignore how rapidly the world is changing. As the old order changes -- or more frequently crumbles altogether -- I offer a perspective on how we can transform ourselves in turn... for the better. Where Will You Be When the Floodwaters Rise? -- The Chinese and Korean Experience

*
China, the world's most populous nation, shares this northern coastal map with the divided peninsula of Korea. A glance at the maps of China might suggest that the Chinese have vast highlands to retreat to. However, they also indicate just how many cities are presently in harm's way, and suggest just how much productive, arable land will go underwater in the event of such catastrophic flooding. Losses which will occur at a time of global agricultural devastation. Making rising sea levels on this scale a grave concern for the people of China.
